Valentine's gifts for "Him"

I know we all love to give and receive gifts and flowers and love cards and chocolates on the V day. We start a lot in advance planning for the day. If you are girl fren boy fren , it will mostly be the guy preparing for the day .. if you have reached the "better half" stage, it will be both of you planning for it ( or it could still be just the guy :p ) .

Which ever case , we cant be just sitting tight to receive the gifts right.. you gotta give some back too !!



So when it comes to gifts for men, its usually a no brainer . We usually end up buying the standard :
belt , wallet, watch, perfume, shirt , tie, gadgets and the usual . Trust me, I have been there done that too :p Although I wrapped up the shirt and on the cover I added small hearts each with a love message in it.

And did I mention about there being 2 kinds of guys : Cheesy , Macho (read non V day types) . I belong to category 2 (fortunate for me, may b unfortunate for some) . The Cheesy guys wouldn't mind all the red hearts and other mushy stuff so you can go that route. But the category 2 types : they might do all this to make you happy but deep down they have the "wats all this nonsense" feeling going on . You'll usually hear the "every day is a day of love" kinda excuses from them :p

So wat can you gift the category 2 guys.. hmmmm . I have some ideas .

1. A watch box with custom inscription .
Enough of the watches (from earlier V days :p ), lets give him something classy to keep them in ! A glass lid watch box (you can decide how many watches it should hold ) with a cute lil but meaningful message inscribed on top can be a thoughtful gift and a everyday reminder of you love !

2. A personal grooming travel kit
If you guy travels all the time like mine, this is a wonderful (and practical) gift. You can also buy travel size products that he uses and put them in a travel pouch with his initials monogrammed on the pouch. You can also monogram the products to take it a notch higher :p

3. If your guy enjoys his spirits , a set of cool and unique glasses would always be welcome. trust me ! You can get a quirky set of glasses representing the 7 deadly sins (and play fun games ! ) . Wooden martini glasses or a unique dispenser .. use your imagination. Gifts in this department will be accepted with a very wide grin !! and if nothing works out , get a very exquisite spirit that the 2 of you can enjoy in each others company :D

4. This one is my favorite ! You obviously would have a very awesome picture of the 2 of you (not the wedding pic please ! ) and if not, drag him to the studio and get a professional "happy couple" pic clicked, get it printed on a huge piece of fabric and hang it right above your bed ! Your V day celebrations are guaranteed to continue for days to come :p This is not exactly a gift for him per se , but hey ! V day is about the couple guys ! This is totally allowed :D

5. Be the guy. not literally ofcourse :p If you guys are having a V day party with your other couple friends, use that opportunity to make him feel special in front of all of your friends ! Learn to play a song (there is plenty of time, no excuses please ! ) or create a video presentation of your pics and videos showing ur journey of love ! the other guys would go totally jealous :)

And ofcourse .. celebrate love. celebrate being together.
